Real Madrid vs Mallorca: Quality saves Madrid from draw

The match was very important for Real Madrid and the Balear team. If white squad won, he would come back to leader zone. For his side, Mallorca also needed to win, because they wanted to go out from the drop zone.

The match was played at Madrid´s training field because of the works in Santiago Bernabeu. It was played the 24th of June at 22:00h.

Nothing suggested that we were watching an extraordinary match, but it´s important to say that it would debut Luka Romero with Mallorca´s t-shirt, we´re talking about the youngest boy that debuts in the history of La LIga, with only 15 years old. He didn´t play as titular, but he would enter during  final minutes.

The match debuted a bit boring. Both teams started playing slow and patient, so there weren´t many attempts.

But after the time-out, Real Madrid came stronger and Vinicius got the 1-0 to Real Madrid in a controversial play, because just before the goal, there was a possible fault by Carvajal to a Mallorca Player.

In the second half Mallorca started to play better and had some opportunities, but they didn´t reach the draw. Later Sergio Ramos scored a very nice goal by fault and putted the 2-0.

In the last minutes, Mallorca did some player and system changes , but it didn´t serve for much, because the final result was of 2-0.

Real Madrid didn´t play as well as other matches, but his quality let them to win 2-0.

Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid: Most controversial match we´ve watched

This match was very important for the both teams. Each one with his objectives. If Real Madrid won, he would come home being the first qualified in La Liga, after Barcelona´s draw in Seville, two days before. Different objectives for the Basque set who needed to win to continue in the fight of the UCL positions.

The match was played in Anoeta Sunday 21st of June at 22:00.

It started boring. Any of the two teams had occasions, but the first half ended in draw without goals. We note the attempts were not dangerous.

The second half was different. Real Madrid started having some good chances and in one of this, Vinicius provoked a penalty that scored Ramos. Few minutes later, it was cancelled a goal of Januzaj for Real Sociedad arguing Mikel Merino´s offside.  

Following, in the next play, Benzema scored the second goal for Real Madrid, but there was the feeling he had controlled the ball with his arm just before he shot. Finally, the goal wasn´t cancelled and Madrid was winning by 0-2.

In the lasts 10 minutes, the Basque team scored the 1-2, but finally they couldn´t put the draw in the scoreboard.

In a quick summary: lot of people think that the penalty to Vinicius wasn´t penalty, that Benzema controlled the ball with his arm and that the goal cancelled to Real Sociedad was legal.

This was the most controversial match of the week and even of the season.

Espanyol vs Levante: Espanyol closer to descent

Espanyol needed the victory facing Levante, who came from a draw facing Valencia 1-1. Levante was in the middle of the overall, for that they remained calm, because they were not playing anything important. In the other hand, RCD Espanyol needed the three points to leave the drop zone.

Both teams started playing well. In the first half, it was cancelled a goal of Levante because the scorer was offside. But only few minutes later Levante scored the first goal. Few minutes later Espanyol reached the draw thanks to David López.

But the happiness didn´t continue much time, because in the firsts minutes of the second half, Enis Barhdi overtook his team with nice goal that weighted hard in Espanyol hope.

With 10 minutes to go, Pedrosa entered the field and just four minutes later he scored on his own goal, that was the final goal of the match and sentenced it.

Finally, Espanyol lost and still is in the drop zone but with one less match to the finish. In the other part of the Levante continues with his good way, comfortably placed in the middle of the standings.

If we thought that Espanyol could play better without public, this is the best example that shows it´s not correct perception.

FC Barcelona vs Leganés: Both teams follow their path

Last Tuesday night was played the match that faced FC Barcelona and Leganés, the 1st and the 21th teams classified in La Liga. Barcelona came from a placid victory in Mallorca, so this time they were not going to let this victory escape. In the other hand, Leganés had lost the past weekend 1-2 facing Real Valladolid, placed in drop zone, the squad from the South of Madrid was needed of three points.

The match was played the Tuesday 16th of June at 10 p.m. at Camp Nou, Barcelona.

The first 15 minutes FC Barcelona played really bad and Leganés could score goal in two clear attempts.  Later, Leganés regret for not scoring a goal firstly, because at the minute 42, 17 years old player Ansu Fati scored the first goal for Barcelona.

In the second half, at the 65th minute Griezmann got a nice goal, but it was canceled by VAR for outside of Nelson Semedo, player who provided the last pass.

After 4 minutes of the cancelled goal, there´s a penalty made by Jonatan Silva to Leo Messi, who scores the second and the last goal of the match from penalty point.

In the last minutes, the match was solved to Barcelona, but in only eight minutes, six Barcelona players saw the yellow target, two of which will miss next match facing Sevilla.

Finally, the result is fair according to the play and the level of both teams. The next week, Leganes has a very important match facing Mallorca, the other team that join Leganes and RCD Espanyol in the last places.

In the other hand, FC Barcelona has also an important match versus Sevilla, because they can keep the distance with Madrid and start to secure La Liga tittle.

Seviilla vs Betis: La Liga returns

La Liga had not returned for more than three months due to Covid19 crisis.

June 11^th was the chosen date for the return of the football to Spain.

Due we were at Summer´s door new rules were introduced, such an stop of both team in minute 30 to hydrate players,  after turnout five changes were allowed and all the viewers dedicate a applause remembering Healthy Service during crisis.

Now talk about the match.

Sevlllian derby is one of the most renowned matches in Spain facing Sevilla and Betis, but this time without public.

During the match it was noted that the players had not worked at home as hard as they do at the training ground, we noted the match´s rhythm was slower than other times, even we saw how in in the lasts minutes some players seemed fatigated due a worst shape.

In the first half, both teams were prudent and didn´t attack very much, so they didn´t score any goal.

The goal didn´t come until the minute 57 in the second half. An error made by Marc Bartra, making a penalty, let Sevilla to break the tables and advance in the score. Six minutes later, a corner kicked by Ever Banega was directly to Ocampos, who passed the ball with an incredible foot touch to Fernando, and he scored an amazing goal.

Real Betis tried to score a goal and get closer in the scoreboard, but they didn´t have luck and didn´t find the goal.

The match ended with a score of 2-0 winning Sevilla.  

Real Madrid vs Eibar: Madrid takes it easy

The last match Real Madrid played was at Benito Villamarín agains Real Betis. They lost in the last minutes, so they wanted to return to LaLiga better than they ended. In the other hand, Eibar lost 1-2 his match facing Real Sociedad.

Both teams wanted to improve from the bad results of the last time.

The match was going to be played in Santiago Bernabeu, but a cause of the works in Real Madrid´s stadium it had to be played in the training field called Alfredo Di Stéfano, a very small building , but not less big than Ipurúa, Eibar´s stadium.

Fixture started at 7.30 p.m . Real Madrid started dominating the spherical and in the 4th minute Toni Kroos forwarded Madrid in the score. Just before the time out to drink and repose, Madrid´s captain, Sergio Ramos with a thrilling move scored the second goal of the match and opened more the distance between the two teams. Just seven minutes later Marcelo, with an amazing shoot got the ball enter to the goal scoring the third of the match. His celebration was about the racism in U.S.A.

In the second half Real Madrid gave the ball to Eibar, they relaxed a lot because thew were winning by 3-0. One goal of Eibar in the minute 60 would seemed to scare Madrid but this result continued until the end.

Finally, Real Madrid won 3-1 and rested home happy.

Eibar played much better in the second half, and, in the other hand, Madrid won only playing good at the first half.
